The story behind FOAC
A group of friends – all with a passion for helping animals – got together and formed the non-profit organisation ‘Friends of Animal Charities’ – to assist animal welfare organisations.
The group fundraised for many weeks, in the form of garage sales, raffles, coffee mornings and markets – raising awareness and support for animals. In April 2014 the group opened a charity shop.
The shop is run by volunteers, and all money raised goes to assist organisations whose objectives are to assist animal welfare or who promote the care and well being of animals.
What we believe
We believe all animals deserve a chance at the care they need to thrive.
We believe that all animals deserve to be in a loving attention home and environment.
We believe that every creature with a will to live has a right to live free from pain and suffering.
And we believe it’s up to us to help them!

“I’ve always had a passion for helping animals – so it really was a dream come true when we were able to start our own animal charity. I have much pleasure in knowing that over 70% of the funds we raise goes directly to the animals in desperate need of it.
We have a great team here at FOAC – all of which are dedicated to helping animals and I’m proud to be a part of the team.”
